Exterior: morning favors Nativity; evening favors Passion. Interior: expose for highlights, then let color fill the mids. A 24–35mm lens covers most views; go wider for nave height.

Outside Angles

  • Plaça de Gaudí (east pond) for reflections of Nativity.
  • Avinguda de Gaudí axis for layered telephoto shots.
  • Western square for Passion at golden hour.

Inside Angles

  • Sit beneath the crossing; shoot verticals to emphasize height.
  • Diagonals along aisles blend columns with color fields.

Settings

  • ISO 400–1600 indoors; shutter 1/30–1/125 if stabilized.
  • ETTR for windows; pull back highlights in post.

Etiquette

  • Avoid blocking sightlines; no tripods during services.
  • Be patient — the light changes fast.
